A few of us locals here on the Saanich peninsula / Vancouver island did a little road trip this summer to Penticton for their annual show (7 1/2 hours away including the ferry). We met some friends there and had a great time! Just thought I'd share some pics;
We have to take a 2 hour ferry ride to get off our island.
Landed in Vancouver and hit the highway.
Manning park.
Whats a road trip without some issues? My son lending a hand to our bro.
Awesome motel setup with parking at your door... our own mini show. The big show takes place along the main drag at the end of the driveway. We sat out there people and car watching for hours
Alternator issues with the Canso required some maintenance along the way. My kids S10 charging the Canso battery at the pit stop.
70 Dart 340 efi a500, 93 s10 350 t350, 70 Bee 440 4 speed, 55 Regent 360 a500, in the back 66 Canso 383 4 speed... and another bud brought his Avalanche. (he likes ac)
Lol hangin his head in shame... and 2 more last jump starts on and off the ferry... and home!
It was repaired the next morning.
Good times!
We'll be there in 2024 too, maybe we'll see you there?
