Hello, starting to collect parts to drop a 89 TBI 360 into my car. How do you guys feel about Rock Auto for stuff like a replacement 70s style electronic distributor? I'm looking at a difference of like $90 here.

I know you get what you pay for but this will not a performance build, just a box stock roller 360 with a cast iron 340 manifold and a carb. No mods other than what it takes to get her in between the fender wells. From what I hear the Mopar units have been crappy anyway.

Thanks in advance. Your cents welcome.

I have purchased various parts from them. Have not had any problems with quality, they are less expensive than other online stores.

Only issue I had with them was with tech support they didn't really know much. summit will price match and their tech support/customer service is top notch

Bought two new Cardone electronic dizzys from them.....A1 ok.

100% OEM appearance down to the tapped hole in the side for you to screw your OEM part number tag onto :).

Buy with confidence.

Rockauto itself is great, bought countless things from them for all my vehicles. But a $15 brake rotor is a $15 brake rotor, so you need to look at the mfgr of the parts as well.

Same here most of there parts list the manufacture. I have had very good luck with them.

Meh. IF you have a major problem with a part, they may or may back you up. If you have to take it past their usual returns system though, be prepared for a shitload of "we don't give a damn about your problem, even though we're probably to blame." Might wind up at the mercy of the supplier with them.

Plus, their shipping price system (from each warehouse) can sometimes wind up costing you an arm and a leg more than it should.

But yes, you get what you want - generally well priced - if you shop carefully at RA.

BUT - I will gladly source parts from Amazon, Summit, or Jegs before I find myself stuck ordering from CrockAuto.

I've bought several times from them. I got the tie rod ends for my truck, genuine Moog.I noticed they offered "Economy" tie rod ends...the thought of $3 tie rod ends on a 3/4 ton truck with a loaded trailer is scarey.

The one thing I do like about rock auto is there are usually different brands available on most parts. You can choose the one you want instead of some places that just send you what they have.
