I am hoping some of you can help me by sharing some recommendations on valve covers for aftermarket rockers and distributors.
Details:
Mopar 400 with 470 stroker kit
906 heads
New Mancini Racing 1.6 roller rockers
Pertronix flamethrower III distributor.
Aftermarket 70/80's era Weiand valve covers
The problem I have is that the new rockers at max lift are ever so slightly contacting the intake side wall of the valve covers. Now I would love a set of black fabricated covers but have concerns about running into the same issue I have now... on top of all of this, I have a Pertronix billet distributor that I already had to clearance the valve cover lip for and have heard other have clearance issues with a billet distributor and the fabricated valve covers.
I could certainly take some material out of the valve covers to get the clearance needed but man oh man would I love some fabricated covers to match the CVF alternator and belt setup I've got...
Thanks in advance!
