Rude Americans

It sounds like you saw a lot and I am glad you found the Americans to be polite. I think that is generally the case and hope you found it for people from other countries too. I also hope the trip was a blast. I generally find people to be helpful and polite but see regional 'personalities' abroad and in the US that sometimes take some getting used to. I think it is as much me as them, but once I get past it, the same conclusion (politeness) has always prevailed.

Easy there Dennis I am from NYC, Queens to be exact.
Born in Jamaica hospital ....
Queens huh?
Like in the movie "Birdcage"?

Only kidding wagonman....

All in Fun.
LMAO, you say we skin him! JK!!!
I was back in NY for Hurricane Sandy and 2 years ago to help a buddy run his auto shop whe he was in hospital. Now I know why I left. Its not the people its the traffic and being crammed together with no room to breath. Best food in the world though. Both my Brothers were here 2 weeks ago and were amazed at cruising around with NO cars on the road.
Oh man you ain't kidding! Most people are decent folks. Getting crammed in together, on foot or car, makes everyone cranky.

Been to NYC several times and never ran into rude folks there. It's a busy place but we had good experiences there.
Now try driving through Quebec with Ontario plates! There's some rude people there. Feels like driving through a different country.

"True" New Yorkers on the whole are the most polite, helpful, and caring people.Along with southerners, in my experience.

Next time I come to LI we gotta grab a few and get Hemitis to take us for a ride. Burn outs in Alley pond park upper parking lot would bring back some cool memories.

Ohhhhhh!!! Alley Pond Park! OMG!!!!
LMAO!!! It's been a long time since I have been there. Yea man! Mr. Hemitis is cool people. He makes me laugh.

OH! I can think of a few places to do burn outs and run.

And a big thanks to all the out of state visitors that have kind words. Da Big Apple (state and region) gets such a bad rap. True! There's an *** in every crowd, so I hope you missed them then and again and again.

Driving in Oregon with California plates nets a lot of middle fingers.

On my cruise, I'm finding the rudest people are the Japanese, plus they are litterbugs.

Being originally from France, my people had always practiced the art of haughtiness and were always perceived as the crown holders for rudeness, however, recently it seems several adjoining countries are now vying for that title. Americans are usually pleasant and will talk to anyone, but they are loud, especially a certain minority.
