I am finishing up installing the new 440 in the Coronet and need to get the 400 out of the garage for space. I posted a few weeks ago, but thought the engine was a 383, until I checked the side and saw a "76" in the casting. I don't know much about the engine as it appears to have been swapped into the car a long time ago (well before the PO). It runs good, but would need a gasket/rear main seal refresh to be 100% (leaked from the rear but didn't burn any oil)...the car ran really well and it pulled strongly when it was in there (chirped the tires in 2nd with the bone stock rebuilt 727). It will come with the distributor, but the pulleys and starter/WP/etc actually went onto the 440. Im not sure of the mileage as its not original...but again, it seems to be a great runner (in the last 5 years I put on a few thousand miles in the car and it made several 200 mile trips, along with being a DD when my primary car was down).
If someone needs a good 400 for a good price that can be quickly cleaned up and installed, this is for you! I have included links to pictures and a video of it running in the car this summer.
You come pick it up in Central FL for $400.
Links to the engine castings in case that helps anyone figure out specifics (can't figure out how to not make it load as a blank photo: just type https: and then add the //drive.google.com/open?id=1hMbf7QZZA0-kWmlU4cbatBNHdaNLBDd_
Here is a video of it running:
