The front sump oil pan that came on my donor RV 440 looks pretty close a a b-body oil pan.

Does anyone know if the front sump RV pan will fit in a 70 b-body?

Front sump pans are for trucks and RV chassis - it will not work in your B-body. Don't trash the pan, dipstick or the oil pickup - you can run those on the Dodge truck forums - they'll sell there. The pan will bring $50 - $75 and the pickup, about $50 or so.

Well, this RV has a front sump oil pan ... or the transmission is on the wrong end:D.

OP is correct. Some RV pans were front sump (I have one too.) I don't know which ones or why, but I would guess it had to do what type of chassis it was going into.

Okay great, I had started to second guess my own eyes.

So, does a "front sump" RV pan fit in a b-body (1970)?

It will if you trim out the cross-member area, so as a cost cutting thing that might make more work. Better to get a pan setup that fits or is close to fitting.

Class A motorhomes used a front sump as well as 64-71 Trucks. 72-78 Trucks used a rear sump.
Front sump won't work on a car. Get a 66-72B 70/2E pan.
