Just about ready to badge out for the last time and go see the US via full time RV living.
Wondering if anyone on FBBO has/had a membership to Harvest Hosts and what they thought of the experience. Thanks

No Input on your request, but have some personal history. Back, Many years ago, when I'd be on the road, I'd always look for State, or National "Properties", or Campgrounds, to spend the night, or several days, if they were Very Nice. Usually Free, or at Low Cost, compared to Business Oriented Sites. We still travel like that, and meet some Great "similar minded Americans" doing so. "Americana", at It's Best !

you can also buy a senior lifetime pass for national parks, a good deal if you plan on rving alot.

We have Les Combs by us, not a fan of French wines but the folks are friendly and they have Music and parties on week ends. Luna Rosa is also close and have Good wine, dont think they are in the camping loop though. We do some camping but not Full Time. Good luck on your new life style. Lots of Snow-Bird spots around here fo sure.

Harvest Host,Thousand Trails, and more all have their pro's and con's.
Check out You Tube Videos on RVing then decide. Most RV parks give discounts to Good Sam members.
There is allot to think about.

I was looking into it when I WAS planning to get a RV, plans changed. I didn't think it was that great idea for me, for you maybe? You have to weigh the good with the bad and if it's for you. It wouldn't have been for me. Good Luck

We mostly stay in state and federal parks, but they are becoming more crowded. I heard that the Harvest host was just for a couple of days at a time. We tried the thousand trail and another similar one on a promotional freebee, but was not for us. Recently, I was looking for a place on the water and looked at several places on Hipcamp that were interesting but the timing on the best one’s didn’t work out and we stayed comercial for a few days. You might want to look at irv2 site and maybe find what you are looking for there.
