I couldn't dare start this thread under Funny Stuff because of the serious nature of this issue.

This goes out in Honor of and to the Memory of the 789 Dealerships that were closed.

The Picture speaks for it's self.

So sad but true. And out of what is left there are very few that will look up old parts to see if they are still in stock.

What really scares me is now we are 100 percent dependent on brand loyalty,... It is the ONLY thing that will keep Chrysler alive,.... A lot of people are going to Buy brand X rather than drive the required distance to a Chrysler dealer to make their new vehicle purchases,....If you have to drive an extra 75 or a 100 miles to make the purchase,...you will have to drive the same distance for Service and Warranty work.

I agree we can blame one person for all this and a foreign car maker being able to buy Chrysler. But I have not seen GM on the Selling block. Ford did the right thing by not taking bailout money.

Chrysler could have done the same as Ford. And brought in new people to restructure the company and car line like Lee Iaccoca did. Who fault is this all the turn coats that were Republicans that Voted for OBammy.

I try not to talk Politics cause I get too pissed off for my good.

Most NOS parts got flushed out of the dealerships back in 1980 when Chrysler had financial problems, ...I acquired a ton of NOS parts back in those days,...but there were a bunch of "Renegade" Dealers that didn't turn anything loose, some forgot they had them, some just wouldn't budge.... I have acquired another huge surplus of parts from the recent dealership closings,..... local and abroad. I scored a Butt load of 68,69,70 B body stuff from several local dealers here in the area.

I even got a 1969 Hemi Warranty block from a rural Georgia dealer, They ordered it for a 69 Hemi Charger R/T that the owner blew up, the owner changed his mind on the Hemi after the first one let go and they installed a 440 Magnum, the block got shoved into a back room, covered up, parts managers changed, and it was forgotten about for 40 years. The block was still in it's original crate with the shipping tags on it straight from a Chrysler Corp. parts depot ! ......I was also able to score more really good parts from this "Honey Hole"

Last week I ordered a wiper drive link assembly for my Doba since mine broke. It arrived last week and will go pick it up Thursday. It will be good to have my wipers back. Then on to the next project that you already know about.
