Now I got that stupid song in my head, thanks...

...or more likely actually puffing stuff.

We could only afford a used B&W TV that had a broke VHF tuner.

Only got ABC, PBS and an independent station.

I didn't see an episode of the Flintstones until I was 14, but I knew every episode of Scooby Doo by heart.

Remember the animated Star Trek, and Planet of the Apes? Speed Buggy?

Later (1979?) Star Blazers- the first animated "series" (designed to be shown in order).

I hear you on the black and white...we had one tv...old black and white tube tv....one dial 2 4 7 and 9 once in a blue moon. in about 73 my old man won a color tv at his work....us 8 kids were in heaven ...the old b&w went in my room till the tubes went out. My mother didnt have cable tv till the late 90s.

in 1983 I remember the B&W Zenith crapped out.

We had to decide if we wanted another B&W 19" (yes still available in the early 80's)...

...or a 13" color for the same price.

We went with color.

My mom still has never had cable, or satellite dish.

Never had a house with A/C until 2002 (even in FL).

I only got cable in 2006, and A/C in 1999.

...and as many cars as I've had through the years, I have never and still don't live in a house with a garage!

Funny how life works.

I am, however VERY well versed in "outside the box" solutions.

HR Puff & Stuff & Land of the Lost {?}
were dudes on "acid/LSD dopers" putting it on TV

not really Sat. Morning, more after school memories,
like 3:30 PM

I was a Speed Racer {The Mach V} & Roadrunner & Coyote guy
Hot Wheels &/or slot cars

Probably why I've owned 13 RR's

Speed Racer.jpg

Hot Wheels

Slot Cars, I was at Busy Bee's in Concord Ca.
racing slot cars on Sat. Mornings,
especially when my stepdad didn't travel to drag race...

that is when I wasn't in Little League/Babe Ruth or Optimist Baseball
or Pop Warner Football

or riding my bike, doing wheelies

Speed Racer - the genesis of "Japanimation".

I still have my Sting Ray. It's "plum crazy" purple with one of the first sets of motocross handle bars to come out. They're wider than all of the ones that came out afterward. I also have the original handle bars and banana seat. I suppose that bike is over 45 years old.

what about "the samurai" and "phantom agents " edge of the seat stuff when I was a kid
