We went to the Pikes Peak International Raceway's Hot Rod Rock and Rumble. My son was driving our '71 Challenger with a 408 stroked 360, 4-speed, 323 gears. It was pulling extremely strong in the 1/8th mile non-prepped track. Then he went around the high speed banked oval track. It sounded crazy awesome and was pretty damn scary speeding through that track. Coming off a banked corner and flooring it in the straights. I'll have pictures and videos later.

The way the track works is there is the banked oval. Then pit row is 1/4 straight on the inside of the track. This makes a 1/8th mile drag strip with a 1/8th mile slow down or speed up area before entering the track, whichever is your choice. The are no speed limits anywhere on the tracks. The infield area is car shows, burnout pits, etc. I think there is 1500-2000 cars entered at $50/car.

Still waiting on some photos and videos to be downloaded. Here's a Charger getting ready to go to the burnout figure 8 pit.
