The tiny boat makes the bass appear larger in photos.

We usually fish for Walleye at Cape Vincent this is probably the largest smallmouth I've ever caught.
I didn't keep it but I've kept others and they are delicious out of the St. Lawrence River.
Likely fattened up on a steady diet of Goby.

my nephew goes up your way for smallmouth at least once a year..... he's always texting me pics like that one ^^^^^

the one I posted was just over 4 pounds..... I've caught several over 6 pounds locally...... if they aren't biting, I simply go home

So, the big question-

How tasty are they?

Caught this bugger up in the boundary waters a few years ago...

Don't go much for bass. Walleye, Perch and Crappie are my jam.

I go with my son to the boundary waters almost every year, just a beautiful place. We catch Bass, Walleye, and as far as eating I really like northern pike.
Which Lake? This year was the first in 10 straight we did not go. Stupid work. lol

Crappie is my favorite.
