scratch remover

Anyone had good results with Eastwood's scratch remover kit for glass? I've got some wiper haze & a couple scratches on windshield. Does this kit work or is a replacement the only option?

Never tried it, but I've always heard toothpaste works. Not the smooth gel type mind you.
