Hello all, does anyone happen to know if seam sealer was placed between the rear footwell pans and the pan that the rear seats sit on? It looks on mine that there was. Would the factory do this before spot welding the two together? My car is a ‘71 Road Runner.

Thanks in advance!

Seam sealer goes on after the welding is done. Yes they sealed every seam in the floor.

Yes, that seam had the black tar looking stuff, same as the seam at the front of the trunk pan. On mine I am using regular brushable sealer and paintable seam sealer as its hidden.

Thank you T2R9!!
