I thought I took a picture when I took it apart, it I can’t find it. I must have done it wrong, it looks like the cable is too loose and won’t work the other side.

Thinking outside the box here. Is it possible that the strut bar attaches to the other side of the seat?

That cable goes on that hook that that metal strip is hanging on.

These guys are onto something. Is that the PASSENGER seat? If not, the seat tracks are on the wrong side(s). The wire goes through the “folded metal strip” & that strip attaches to the front “hook” on the seat frame & the adjuster goes towards the door (left side of seat for driver & right side of seat for passenger)

Yes. The adjuster knob is towards the door and the flat part that holds the cable is in the hook. It just looks like it’s too short.

What side seat is your photo showing?

Drivers side. Silly question. Is it the seat itself side specific or is it the brackets that’s make it drivers or passenger side?

Brackets AND seats are specific. The latch to release the seat back has to be towards the outside.

Which would be applicable in other post areas- like 68-70.
