I bought a set of 68 seatbelts and a 3 point 64-73 mustang bolt kit to up grade my factory lap belts... I having started yet but figured this would be a good start.... what has everyone else done to up grade the 67 or earlier cars?

I was looking to do this as well on my 70 Roadrunner, just haven't gotten that far yet. My buddy put these 3 point belts in his Chevelle, and likes them a lot. It bolts right into the original mounts, even on the headliner area. It does seem expensive at $300 but it's for both front seats. And it's for safety, something that typically costs good money.

I'd also like to convert the back seats somehow to 3 point for the kids (I have 3 small sons). I was thinking of using some less expensive kits from some other mail order house and attaching them to the package tray somehow and to the other original mounts under the rear seats.

I will have to drill a hole and weld a nut and washer on and mount a bolt there... a 67 has lap belts and odd retractors that have chewed the belts and they don't lock like everything else does I have a bench seat so with the shoulder strap and the locking retractable I won't be sliding around on the seat I have to find the clips for a 68 up that hold the belt up above the window... like a cb radio hook?
