It's a no brainer the larger cars do better in these head-on crashes. I am posting the link below because of the seat belt webbing failures in brand new cars back in the day.

The 1971 Dodge Colt vs the 1972 Plymouth Fury begins at approximately 15:13.

The webbing failures are at 17:24 for the Colt and 18:10 for the Fury.

Very sobering; and you know our old seat belt materials are in worse condition after 50+ years of exposure to the sun, heat, and various etc.

Bonus: Satellite guide car seen in the Colt-Fury footage.

That is incredible to me that the belt material failed like that .
Perhaps the first ever American car part subbed out to be made in China?

I want to see a head-on at 43 MPH between a Prius and a 71 Charger!
Why not a Pinto rear-ended by a Prius?

The initial explosion of the Pinto gas tank would be enough to trigger the ever-lasting inferno created by the Prius Lithium-Ion battery pack. :drinks:

Why would you want to see a 71 Charger wrecked? Why not some other brand?
Just to prove for once and at all to the insurance companies and the general public, that Dodge and Mopar built the strongest and safest cars out there! Immediately, insurance premiums would go down for classic cars!!!
