Second bolt from firewall on the drivers side.

I saw Edelbrock makes a spacer for the thermostat housing that
Temp sender is behind the alternator bracket, accessible thru the hole in the bracket. There or top of water pump housing..
So its not on the intake? Thanks, I will add that onto my list for today.

How would you handle this? I’m thinking of a 2 groove pulley and put the power steering on the outside groove and I’m going to have to get a new belt.

Worried about it rubbing on the pulley? Don't.

That's exactly what I was worried about. The original engine was at sometime replaced with another 383 and I was thinking they just maybe used the wrong pulley or put it together wrong.

Belt is possibly too short .. can't tell on that tight shot, putting the p/s pump pulley to far up.

You can't run a double pulley as the alternator/water pump belt and p/s pump drive pulleys are different sizes and belt speeds don't match.

So I would have to match all three if I wanted to change the pulley? I’ve seen kits for that…..but $$$$$$. Here’s another shot, don’t know if it shows a little better.

No you need to show where the adjustment slot in your Power Steering pump is at. If it's all the way "up" and belt too short then your P/S pulley is high enough to make it rub the water pump pulley. Longer belt = lower P/S pump in my mind anyhow... and there's not much left there today!

Thanks, I will look into getting another belt. I have no idea what this guy did certainly cant ask him.
