Semi gloss black for hood Roadrunner

Hello working on my 70 Over the weekend ,I laid out the black for the hood it came out to shiney.What are you surpose to use Paint Store made me single stage semi gloss black but it dryed more like a gloss ?

Yeah, the glare off that in the sun would probably be annoying. I would think that in 70 they still used Organisol? A variation of that is being made again. I believe we got it for my Road Runner from PPG.
