I remember reading the book and I liked it, but the new movie is very popular with the ladies. My daughter just called after the movie to say she liked it and it came highly recommended from her gal pals.

I asked her if they fought like cats and dogs as I remembered from the book. But she said, "They're certainly doin' it like cats and dogs."

I was forced to read that in high school. Then we had to watch the movie as well, the movie I am sure that is very, very old by now. 3 people fell asleep in class during the movie. Not me, but two of them were right up front. Teacher was pretty mad.
Wuthering Heights and Fathers and Sons were two books I had no use for and will never pick up again in my life or recommend to anyone else.
The movie was old when I was in HS.
I am guessing they made a new one?

I think there has been at least three remakes over the years, my Mom drug all us kids to see the movie in the mid to late 60's, think I was about 8 or 10 at the time.
