shipping method?

This will be my first time shipping a car part. Any recommendations on what shipping method? Any recommendations on payment options so that we both are satisfied and no one is able to screw the other? Want to shipping a steering column and wheel, and hood hinges.

Someone here told me about pirateship. I have used them for a few items. They used USPS and UPS, but charged me less than directly using USPS and UPS. No problems.

Been using Pirate Ship for a few years, If you have larger items or even freight ShipNex is good too.

If you take the shift lever and steering wheel off, you may be able to ship the column in a large cardboard or plastic tube.

I recently re-opened my UPS account after it being out of order for a few years. The cost savings vs not having an account are very large, over 50 percent I think.
