Shock choice

Id like some opinions on what some of you would say is a good shock for a 73
Satellite, thinking of replacing mine. Id like the do or don't do when it comes to putting air shocks on, Id like to change the stance of it, just the rear VERY slightly raised, Ive never liked the ride with them but as slight as i want i would think that it wouldn't be bad. Just your thoughts can help me make up my mind which way i want to go. I have other things now im doing to it but this spring id like to make a change over thanks. Ron

There are ups and downs to air shocks...You can break off your upper shock mount..The ride is,nt really the best...Go with a little longer spring shackle is Probably the easiest and cheapest way to go...I,m running the edebrock eas shock...The work very well...Corning is probably were I noticed it the most...I,m auctually gonna lower the back of my car an inch and a half with a different front spring hanger...my car came with hijacker air shocks on the rear and one upper shock mount was broken...It was an ex drag car at one time...I threw them in the garbage were they belong..

I have edelbrock's on my Coronet as well....So far, pretty good shocks. I'm happy with them.

I have the eddy IAS shocks as well, very good shock IMHO and a pretty good value for the price. Air shocks are a no no and move the load from the spring to the shock mount no matter how little you raise it. Recurve or add a leaf to raise the car.

Sounds like Edelbrock Is one to think about, I never liked the ride of air shocks and my 70RR had high-jackers on it, one side broke and come down on a nice expensive tire.
