My opinion is that a 451 stroker is the coolest bb out there. Four Fifty-One even SOUNDS tuff. Gotta have a big block trans fer that dude. The SRT 6.1 is an impressive mill too, and the "whiz-bang" factor of having a thoroughly modern engine in an old car is cool, BUT...to fully take advantage of the modern engine's technology, there's a ton of engine management hardware, software, and wiring as well as finding a suitable trans to go with it. The mechanical bits are pretty straightforward, its getting the different components, ie: motor, trans, and thier computers, to function together as a unit. If you're looking for opinions, here's mine: Unless you have, or at least have access to the complete car (meaning the SRT 300) to take parts from...fuggetaboutit. If you can find someone who will trade you a good 400 block and steel 440 crank for your disassembled 6.1, I would do it...but I'm a caveman.
