Side Glass

On your side window glass there are two holes were the plastic guides are installed. There is also some sort of material that i guess is for more insulation or weatherstripping. My question is since i cant find it anywhere do you really need it as it did not come in my vent channel kit from parts mix. Just the plastic guides were there.

Are you talking about the piece that runs the full lenght of the front of the glass?
If so without that part the window would leak and the wind noise would drive you crazy. I would recommend sending the kit back and ordering the parts needed. It's also a guide for the window.

Scott, wow i was just going to PM you. I just cant find this stuff. The old was just falling apart. Just to be clear it what goes against the glass and is held in place by the plastic guide clips. It then fits into the vent window channel. I mistakenly ordered the new channels thinking that was the part. It came and had the plastic clips but not what i was looking for. I really dont know what to do as I've spent some time looking and cant find them.....Either way you and yours have a very Merry Christmas------Steve

I carry both the reproduction and the original glass channel runs. Personally, I would suggest that you go with the factory Chrysler pieces. They are substantially more money, $120 for a set of original factory pieces vs $95 for the reproductions. The reproductions will work fine, but they are much more difficult to install and without the proper efforts, you will end up tearing the very delicate mylar extrusion. Also be careful in that some vendors will indicate that your are purchasing factory original pieces when in fact you are buying the reproductions. Thanks for the response. I had a customer here at the shop yesterday from Bristol, VA picking up a rather larger order for a 68 Chrysler 300 convertible. He said he knew the area pretty well in which you live.
