Silver '68 Hemi Charger on BaT

The car is what it is. I personally like a Hemi with an automatic. Automatic on the column doesn’t bother me as much as it used to although I prefer a console, but the fold down armrest is real nice to have.

Column shift automatic. That’s sad.:(:D

That's actually my favorite setup & what i have in mine aswell.
But mine is "only" a 440 car.

If i only had the money... but two 2nd gen chargers would be boring.
I would go for a 70 hemi coronet r/t or 71 hemi charger r/t instead ^^

I don't mind that so much. The tail stripe is sad however.

I have two 68 Charger R/T,s; one with a stripe and one without & I think the stripe makes it. Your 69 has no stripe, but has the emblems. 68 didn’t have that and to me the tail end looks bare without the stripe.

My 383 4 door ‘68 Satellite daily driver has the granny shifter... in fact most of the Mopars I’ve owned had that. My ‘70 V code Charger has the console Pistol Grip shifter. Ironically, of the 650 or so Six Pack Chargers made, there is an almost even split between D21 and D32. Most likely because if you were ordering the Six Pack you were more apt to be a gear head. From looking at ‘68-‘70 Chargers over the years... I’m guessing only about 10% were 4 pedal cars.

Ill take a column auto any day.

Nice color combo will drive this one up.

Ill take a guess 145k

I think the stripes look great too! When they are installed correctly.

My car has a "ghost" stripe which is currently being removed and emblems installed. (I would have done a stripe if the car had a vinyl top or contrasting color interior to match it)

The only thing better than having two 68 chargers is to have three!
I have a column shift that I like quite well, There is presently a 71 Hemi GTX green car floating around recently sold with 17,000 actual miles.. it is a one of one column shift automatic as well... I believe there were only 17 71 Hemi GTX's?

Our GTX has an auto on the column with the buddy seat as well and I really like it, very comfortable when driving.
Love the color combo on the charger. No mention as to if the replace engine is a vintage Hemi or newer crate engine. Makes a difference in value for sure.

Going by the description, that could be something for me IF i had that kind of money.

My good friend passed away, and the family is silent as to where the car went. he bought it new in 1971 in Chicago from the big mopar dealer there. green thru and thru, the original tires were still on it when I last saw it.

I would think a car of that caliber and value would have the stripe installed correctly. Other than that it looks like a nicely done car.

beautiful combo.......

but all those pics, pics of decals, but none of the body stampings?

and the rear bumper's kinda saggy on the driver side ......5 minute fix.... come on, man

Column shifts are for guys that have girls that want to sit next to them. Hold a shifter or hold a knee, let me think!

The stripe is definitely a screw up & there are some minor details that need to be addressed under the hood, plus get rid of those loud mufflers. The tail panel appears to be painted gloss black and this sloppy body work on the valance would have me concerned about the rest of the car.

That all said, I'm guessing more than 145K.
