take off the exhaust, valve covers, and air cleaner, it looks just like a red '92 i purchased a few years ago. Fun little p/u but I bought mine from an older gentlemen with really low miles for $2400.. kinda wish I still had it. In no way close in comparison to a Road Runner, nor worth that kind of money.

Now everyone will want big money for a v8 dakota, "I saw one on the internet for over $10k!!"

I traded a old 64 Valiant straight across for my Dak. But you are right I can see a price jump because of that ad.

I do call my 2000 R/T the "camaro" of pickup trucks.

Well i had one and i wish i still had it. Sold it when i PCS'd to England back in 2004 and i still mis it. That truck was kind of a hotrod but not a RR by any measure. But it was a hell of a good little truck and i loved driving it. Mine was a loaded extened cab Blue with Silver accent stripes and that truck had the best A/C of ANY vehicle i've ever been in, not just owned :) Blue hard and cold right of the bat and not a lot of noise out of the ducts.

For a while (quaite awhile, actually) there was a 92-95ish one down here on cl with a 440.

Looked like it was factory. Price kept going down. Last I saw it was $2500.

Was it Sub Lime Green?

The guy was compairing it to the concept. Stripped down vehicle with not a whole lot of options, a/c, power, cruise, ect..ect..With a V8, 3:90 gears, and LSD. I have owned several V8 dakotas and have been blown away by many lt1 and ls1 cars. In '01 I bought a new Camaro z28. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! My uncle owns a black '96 Sport, SWB, V8, five speed I'm going to get from him sometime soon.
