I thought it was the float level, but after an adjustment it still weeps. Not all at once but after a few days this is what I see. I think the seat is shot. Any ideas?
A high float level, high fuel pump pressure or percolating fuel in the bowl are about the only excuses for fuel to come out that vent. A high float level can be deceptive as the fuel level in the bowl will syphon down when the motor is shut down pretty quickly and everything looks normal when the sight plug is removed. Fuel leaking out that vent the next day is a puzzle though. Not sure how that can happen.
I wonder if your fuel tank is pressurized....as in not vented?
That could push fuel up the line past the pump and potentially fill a bowl if conditions were right.
I think I found the problem. A thin sliver of metal from the threads was stuck in the needle itself. Cleaned and readjusted now I will just wait and see. Will keep you posted
