SKIN CANCER IS NASTY STUFF

Couldn't agree more. Three of my long list of cancers have been basal cell carcinomas - and I have no doubt
there's more now.

It has been 4 weeks now, healing is coming good. I start my treatments on Monday. Went for a scan on Thursday to see if they got all the cancer, they found some more on the left side of my leg. Just waiting to get the date of the next operation. It does suck!!!

Good luck in your recovery. Skin cancer is a mean bitch/bastard, and like an ex wife/husband is always just waiting to **** with your day.

have not been on the site much since I found out about my cancer last year. Between doctor visits, trips to different hospitals for check-ups, MRI, CT scans and operations it's kept me very busy. I've had 3 more operations to remove aggressive 3rd stage Melanoma cancer. The latest being a 4-inch by 3-inch 1 1/2 inch deep area on my upper left arm, they had to remove a big chunk of muscle. This stuff is very nasty and likes to spread. It has taken a toll on my mind and body. For anybody with cancer all I can say is keep a positive mindset and keep smiling. Like I said if you notice any changes on moles or marks on your body get them checked out right away, don't wait!!!!!

Wow, holy s**t, you have been through a lot.
Two weeks ago the skin doc took one off the top of my left hand.
Got a penny sized hole in my hand that she says will take 4 to 6 weeks to heal up.
Right now it looks like it's coming along ok.
And i have another one on the top ,of my nose, between the eyes that she needs to do her thing on.
I'm told, expect to be in the hospital all day for that one.
Ain't lookin forward to this one, wondering whats to be done.

Good luck moes.

I don't take any chances. I visit the dermatologist every year. In fact, I'm actually going on Monday morning for a full body scan. If there is something there, I want to know about.

yes, never let up, mm is flat out the worst, it wants to kill you, basal cell carcinoma usually takes its time an just disfigures you

Sorry, hemi71x to hear about your problems, good luck. I see the dermatologist every 4 months to be checked, and I have to see her for the rest of my life. I have to be on Chemo till August of this year, It's a 1-year treatment plan. The sad thing is the Chemo doesn't kill the cancer, it only tries to help to stop it from spreading even more. The Chemo is a poison that attacks the bad cancer cells, but also attacks the good cells too, which cause some problems for my body. I'm lucky I have a good bunch of Doctors and nurses that are doing a fantastic job and I thank them for that.

Starting this process, had a biopsy taken from the side of my face by my ear. Waiting for the results.
