SLANT 6 B BODIES

Always wanted a 65 Dodge Coronet. Nothing but Plymouth's seems to follow me home.

Was out last night:)

My Belvedere I 2dr sedan 'had' a /6....and it was sloooow but it went 7 rounds at the track one night for the win :D. It was the slowest car out there that night and well, got one of the fast ones that dialed a 11.49 in the final round and he broke out but he never passed me up because he cut such a bad light....

Not a B,but a unusual C /6 with bonus 3 tree.
61 Plymouth wagon
Dept of the Army car from Roswell New Mexico
Area 51? Maybe?

I would like to find a 71-72 Dodge Coronet 4 door sedan,Slant 6 auto with factory air.
Turn key in almost perfect condition. I'm not asking for too much am I ??

Here's a fairly rare one.
1964 Dodge Polara 2dr HT /6 3spd man.
Decided to not put in a V8, because there was only about 700 made.
Not for value purposes, just for it's uniqueness.
And I like Slanty's anyway.

65 Belvedere I, slant six auto. I've had the car a little over 20 years. It's been a slow process, but I put in a new floor and trunk floor. I also have a repro 65 Super Stock interior for it. I am going for the 65 SS look; I love those cars.
Original engine suffered a cracked block and has been replaced with a wicked, race built 225, just to freak people out. (My 'normal' car is a 500 inch supercharged 65 Fury convertible, so i could just be a nut-case)

In my photo album, I have a gob of pics of the 1967 Belvedere I six-passenger station wagon I bought from a guy in Belgium in 1990. It was a 225/3-speed on the column originally. The seller had installed a 1977 225/904, as the original engine had locked up. The car was originally shipped from the US to a converter in Brussels, Belgium with two other identically-equipped '67 Bel I wagons for use as funeral cars, or lijkwagen in Flemish/Dutch, or leichenwagen, in German. Two were sold to a funeral home in Antwerp, and the third was shipped to Sweden for the same purpose. The car originally had a blue vinyl interior with a black exterior, but had whorehouse red velour seats out of a '78 LeBaron when I got the car. The original seats came with, and were in mint condition, so they went back in! The car had all HD bits, with Hemi brakes, Hemi torsion bars, HD rear springs, and a 3.55 8-3/4" SG rear. It came with a 200 km/h speedometer, HD heater, working clock and a radio delete plate.

My German neighbors had come to expect odd American cars to come my way, but they weren't exactly keen on a hearse in the neighborhood. Lucky for me, I had another oddity in German living, and that was having an attached shop I could get four full-sized American vehicles in and still have room to move around and work, so it was out of sight. Unless I were to drive it to work. Which always created a bit of interest when I'd drive it through the entry gate!

When I shipped the car home in 1992, it was on a transporter going to the port of Bremerhaven with two brand new V-12 Mercedes-Benz coupes...these were $145K cars back then! Looked a bit out of place, but they took great care of the car. When I picked the wagon up in Houston, a couple of the dock workers commented on the old Plymouth. I told them it had been a hearse from 1967 to 1989, they kinda freaked out a bit! I gassed up and drove the 525 miles home to OKC. Got about 17 mpg, and it ran flawlessly. I ended up driving that car for about seven years, and traded that on a very nice paint job on a 1967 GMC Suburban I was restoring in 1997. By then, I had swapped in a 1973 360 and 727, which woke that Belvedere up nicely. I still have the build sheet to that car in my archives. It's still in the OKC local area. Last I'd heard, the owner was going to swap in a Gen 3 Hemi and pull his boat with it.

I know where the photos are of this car, and I'll pull a few out to take pics to post.

I Had this 64 Belvedere with /6 and 3 on the tree. 18000 miles. It drove and ran nice. Sold it to a person that had a new plymouth dealership in 1964 and wanted a car that year. It had all the original tires when i purchased it.

Saw this slant 6 turbo build on Power Nation made some serious power. Wonder what cost was, it wasn't wildly exotic but well chosen parts.
