So over the winter I'm going to build a 408 stroker 360 for my 63 belvedere, yet right now it's set up for a slant 6. So I figured since I have an internally balanced 318 sitting in the garage that is brand new, I'd use it in the car and set the 63 up for the 408, this way I can have an adequate rad, set up my 4 speed od a833(manual trans swap into an automatic car) get the new driveshaft made etc. everything that needs to get done when you swap in a completely new drivetrain.(hopefully the speedo cable can be used with the factory gauge)

anyways does anyone know how I could swap from the slant to an la small block?

also does anyone know the best way to add a clutch pedal to this car for the manual trans?

A V-8 k-frame with the proper brackets and insulators will get you there. Schumacher Creative Services will have what you need except for the K.

As for the pedal's, you should get the whole assembly from a parts car or a place like Brewers that specializes in sorting out 4 speed setups.

You think I could adapt parts from an abody pedal assembly/z bar setup for my 63? I acquired a gen 3 hemi so that will be the new powerplant for my 63.

I have a 64 polara that was a puysh button automatic car, I converted it to a 4-speed. The easist way is to find a car with pedals. i got all mine from a 4-door 3 speed car. everything was the same other then the z-bar. also, if you do need any parts, brewers knows their 4-speeds and prices arent to unreasonable. Very professional and easy to deal with. I order lots of stuff as I found a 64 trunion style 4-speed and rebuilt it. as for adapting from an a-body, I think they are pretty different but I dont deal with a-body's to much.

good luck
