Slow Cranking when hot

If the battery cables are old and cobbled together, then I would start there.

They are 11 years old but certainly not cobbled together I could never relate to that word. If you read my last post cables on the way!!

Fran even though I ordered the restoration cable I'm just going to make the 2/0 positive cable to see how that works and then the negative 2/0 cable.
The resto cable will probably just take up space on the shelf.

Thank Ron

How did the cables work out?

I guess I never updated this so here goes:
I made a 2/0 for the positive and it helps slightly.
I made a 1/0 for the negative and it helps a bunch more!!!
All in all I'm done for now since majority of the issue is behind me.
My timing is also set now with 18 mechanical and 16 initial for a total of 34 degrees.
Thanks to all
Ron

Agreed the cable quality is very important. To that point, also be careful of what you're buying as there is some copper coated aluminum cable out there that looks the part but is complete trash.

I saw and stayed away from aluminum.
