small block appearance

I say go for it!! You are not "out " any money...its just tied up and can be sold off again.

Corn Patch, I know its apples and oranges but I have a local buddy here with a 51 buick convert street rod, tuck and roll interior custom paint, lake pipes, lowered, ect ect.
He wanted that same wow factor under the hood and put a 6pk set up on his 305 chebbie it was a edelbrock intake I am unsure of the carb brand, he bought the whole set up linkage and all from speedway or summit.
I think it even came with the 3 air cleaners. he did the block off of the 2 outboard carbs since the 305 was stone stock. The thing runs fine as far as cruising has no guts at all but does run like a timex watch. He and his wife drive that old vert to out of state shows ect.
Its got some kind of OD auto prob a 200 and a 10 bolt rear.
Its just the look thing, heck there is a bunch of blower cars running around good guys each year making little or no boost:lol: but that belt whine and look is what they are into. have fun with your next project.

Kinda like the gear drive cam. All they want is the " sound". I was at a car show Sunday, and a guy with a street Chebby Nova. was driving around with a cam that was sooo radical, it would barely run , and would not idle at all. And that is a pleasure to drive...how? Ain't we a bunch of attention whores??,,,,,8-)..................MO

Yes! Edelbrock intake and triple Holleys. Engine masters did something with that I think. The Holley trio is smaller cfm wise than the
OE MoPar set up IIRC.
Here it is;
