      Cast Steel or SFI rated?
start with Advance Adapters, Ansen etc
I can remember one that had a hand lever clutch on it Irrigation or somesuch application
anyone have a problem with the stock ones
just for giggles what different trans patterns are/ were available?
I think they used formed steel for the trans ams - Lakewood or Lakewood style
Military may have had a Universal Mil spec bellhousing
I would not waste my time looking for one unless restoring a Military vehicle
      an aside but similar
I have a couple of rare Nash Statesman 196.5 flathead or OH and early 199-232 bellhousings to T86 which have never moved They were PD/ Taxi HD upgrade from the T96
There was supposed to be a T85 version but I have never seen one AMC changed the bellhousing pattern when they went to the TF trans but we used the early pattern 199 block in the Indy turbo Rambler -transaxle 4 speed

I have a cast iron one from a truck that I just put on craiglist. I took it out of a 67 Barracuda, but the numbers say it is from a truck. I think the cars originally had aluminum bell housings.

The only other bell housings I have seen besides the OE and the Lakewood scatter shields are the Quick Time ell housings.

check the pilot bearing diameter on all bellhousings
That Cast iron one was widely available in trucks
what's the diameter of the hole?
Transmissions come in at least 3 sizes

Unless it has a scatter shield it won't matter. If the clutch or flywheel comes apart it's coming through anyway. Better off using a billet flywheel and good quality clutch assy if you don't want a scatter shield.

The reason I’m looking for something other stock is the one I took out of the car is cracked Checked another one I have it is cracked too. New motor will be 500 +hp. Has anyone else had them crack?
