Snow!...Snow!!.....SNOWWWW!!!!

Long Beach Island
Lavallette vacationer here. Been going there since 1990. When we were kids, my moms best friend had a house for the summer every year in Surf City. Early 70's, remember it like it was yesterday. And Ship Bottom was a cool town to a 12 year old.

Born and raised at the Jersey Shore, have lived here most of my life.
I live in Barnegat on the main land, I use LBI as a reference because most people have no clue as to where Barnegat is, just a stones throw away from LBI. LOL
I have worked on LBI since the mid 90's.

They don't know the difference between Barnegat, Barnegat Beach and Barnegat light. I have dove off Barnegat light, there is a few cool wrecks there. The Jersey shore looks great during a snowstorm.

Mika likes all the snow

Remy came in the house this morning with a snowball in his mouth the size of a softball. Crunched it before I could get my camera. He must have picked it up from when I shoveled..

Dogs can do goofy things we just don't understand. Maybe to her it's a snow cone!

Yes. He read that and turned his head up and to the back. Like he was saying, " WELL..I never.."
As I mentioned yesterday Ghost, it rained all day and got rid of most of the snow. Now I wake up to this this morning. We get some then we loose some. and then get some more. Coming down so hard that I couldn't see the Sierras. Chowder was great, cornbread was good, and it was nice and toasty in my crib up here in Northern Nevada...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

Nice! Got plowed out this morning. Going to be 42* on Friday. this will mostly melt I expect.

we had Tornado warning yesterday
hr's of thunder & lightning, rare for here,
freaken' wind 50 mph+ for a while (that's sort of normal)
1st time I can remember in the mountains that
'we have a Tornado warning',
2 funnel clouds were spotted some 60-75 miles Northwest of US
in the Stockton area, San Joaquin valley
& some 30-40 miles NW of US in Calaveras Co.
they spotted 2 funnel clouds too (I don't think they touched down)

We got a shitload of rain hr's of it pouring, outskirts of that storm
like 8"s of rain/downpour in 1 day/12 hrs (rare here)
hr's of thunder & lightning (that part's not un-normal)
it dumped 'feet' as in plural of the devils dandruff (Snow sort of normal)
in the mountains some starting 5-10+ miles up the hill
It was a blizzard/white out almost, snowing sideways...

stay warm throw anther log on the fire
keep your powder & the dog dry boys :poke:

Yep got my self shoveled out too. Do not need a plow but a snow blower would be cool. Talked with my neighbors while out and we are thinking of going in on one with a few others so we can take care of the neighborhood as we don't have city services for that. Unincorporated community and the HOA...I hate them all!!!...won't provide a community plow for the streets. Occasionally the Country runs some plows on the main streets but for the most part it's just us and knowing how to drive in it. Hell it is already starting to melt!!! But it sure is pretty when fresh and new and the views??? Well I'll leave that to your imagination...cr8crshr/Bill:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

I'll bet it is. We are in the country, farms all around. Several of my neighbors have back hoes so I don't need one, they come down and plow it out, and some others driveways too. I always slip them some folding money for the fuel.

The weather doesn't know what it wants to do. Rain and warm so everything begins to melt then cold snap and it all freezes then more snow today, then freezing rain, then snow again….geezz.
