" So...fish eat fish?"

It's a natural part of the food chain with the wild brown trout I fly fish for in central PA. Wild browns subsist on a diet that is 80% insects, and normally grow to an adult size of about a foot on this food source. But once in a while, an outlier becomes cannibalistic. The state record, caught by master angler Joe Humphreys, who taught fly fishing as a Penn State professor, topped 16 pounds, and was nearly a yard long. These monsters are caught at night, using live bait or a wet fly that resembles a smaller trout. The variable food chain reminds me somewhat of my experience in business.

What do these idiots think happens to fish in the ocean that expire? Have they never seen a shark eat a fish? Amazing...

Some people have no clue how nature works. It is amazing, do they think there’s a salad bar that’s set up and everything just eats together?

They'd probably die from shock if they ever found out about a Venus flytrap.

Sheesh...hasn't EVERYBODY seen an image like this at some point??

If it smells like fish you might not want to eat it? Asking for a friend.

My great grandpop owned a boat yard, always said to "...clean your fish...", and yes, he was a dirty old man too!!!

It's truly amazing how 'dumbed down', no common sense
some of the country/or the world truly is now...

I blame the education/indoctrination system, greed... for all of its failures

Maybe next, they'll conduct an experiment on humans. To find out the humans prefer their steak cut up on a plate, rather than biting off a steer.

Given how our media is:

"You won't believe this video of fish eating fish!"
"Fish are eating other fish, here's why that's OK!"
"Fish should eat other fish, experts confirm."
"If fish eat fish, is it OK for people to eat people?"
"Some people eat other people, here's why that is OK."
"You should eat other people, here's why."

It's a touchy subject, eating people, they might need to take the long way around this time.

Chickens too, the little ******* will eat just about anything...Including their own offspring...

Yup on chickens…
Back when I was on my farm we used to shoot tons of pest beavers. Seemed a shame to waste them, so I fed them to my dog. The fat, greasy meat gave him the shiniest, healthiest coat you ever saw.
He could only eat so much, so we would toss the extras in the chicken pen. You had to cut the skin open so that they could get at the meat but once you did that they would swarm it like piranhas.
Seemed like a great idea until the eggs started tasting like beaver.
Beavers have scent glands, and if you don’t cut them out they have a sort of musky, sour smell. It’s used in perfumes, actually. But not what you want your eggs to taste like.
