Somebody made Golf interesting finally.

Just the sort of bullshit about the overall small % of dumbass hackers to remind me why I’ve not played in the last 7 years after having played for some 30 years. On the other end are those who are good players or think they’re superior. After some injuries/surgeries keeping me from playing during recovery, my interest dwindled.

Can’t say how many times I’ve been thinking about playing again; but then think of how many hours are lost doing it having other stuff to do. 18 holes? Count on 5-6 hours, if the course is busy. Hell, even if it’s not and ya got a slow group or two ahead, it’s wait and wait more as some hack takes time looking for free-lost golf balls or has no clue how to get out of the way when they’re done on the hole. Ya don’t leave the golf cart 30 yards in front of the green. Had a few occasions when things got downright nasty from ****-wads behind blaming our group for slow play when it was waiting for the group in front. We all plunk down the $40, 60, or much more to play. WTF, in a bug hurry? Consider some other sport.

Around where I am, half a dozen courses at least, have been ground down for building subdivisions in the past few years or cut out 9 or 18 holes to build fancy GC view homes on them.

If I want to have people running up my *** with anger-management problems, I can drive on the freeway; don’t need to pay money for ****-wads doing it on a golf course.

Tell us how you really feel Ron.

Tell us how you really feel
Lol, thanks. Yeah, okay rereading my post, sound like a cranky (not Cranky) old cynical sour grapes geezer. Well, I’m a geezer…often forgetting to add up my blessings and that things could be – much worse.

I played golf as a kid (NOT putt-putt!), and did fairly well. It didn't really stick with me. I did play a couple of times at a nice course in the Netherlands around 1990 or so. but I never got into it as an adult. My little brother had amazing talent and had the potential for good sponsorship and a career, but jacked that up, unfortunately. Crazy good talent, too.

Kinda what Rodney said in Caddyshack - "Golf courses and cemeteries are wastes of prime real estate!" LOL!
