Hi , I have a 1969 Plymouth Satellite and sometimes I have to turn head light switch on and then off for the ignition switch to start the car. It's like the ignition switch does not make contact. I have to turn the key and flip the head light switch at the same time. I changed the starter relay and that did not help. All wire connections are tight. Any help is appreciated .

Thank You

Oxidized contacts at bulkhead connector!

Hi Darthomas , I have cleaned the connectors in the Bulkhead but the same things happens. I will try cleaning them again. Thanks so much for your quick response.

Somewhere is a poor connection that turning on the headlights helps re-establish.
Have someone turn the key to start while you tap connectors, etc with a screwdriver handle.

Check the foot switch for high & low beam. That circuit goes thru the main slice in the wiring harness.
Check wires ,slice area... you need a good ground at bolt area. Clean & sand paper...
