I let my original disk brake positioners soak in Evaporust then wire-brushed them mostly clean. I see the FSM recommends replacing these with a brake job, but they're not included in the hardware kit and I could not find them anywhere on RockAuto. Who has a source for these, and might my cleaned-up originals still do the job? Also, looking closely at these, the top two have a divot and not just flat. The FSM doesn't indicate which positioner goes towards the front and which towards the rear of the caliper. Any ideas?

#332-48846 in the Layson's catalog. You're welcome. Their $20 catalog has helped me sell so many parts for them. I should be on commission or at least get my $20 back. :poke:

The positioners should be placed as shown in the following image:

The positioners can be reused if they can be pried open a little to install with light tension. Carefully pry them apart and watch for any cracking in the bend area.

The positioner with the raised, or depressed, area is original or like an original and fits better over the caliper bolt rubber bushing. The other style will work okay though.
