What is everyone using to lubricate their speedometer cable?

Thanks!

As I remember, Graphite powder although some use white Lithium grease.

Just google speedometer cable lube. Just about any lube can work. Most of the time people think lubing the cable fixes everything. Worn heads create most problems.

Cable is dry, it’s a new installation.

Lock-Ease is a key/lock lubricant that has graphite in it and has been used for years.
If you have a locksmith nearby or buy it on-line. Ace Hardware, $4.59!

Got a new cable from Rick E. and he even includes a note suggesting to pre-lube it.
No doubt it is a good idea. I just do not remember having to lube a replacement OEM cable.

I always thought new cables were ready to go.
This is an OEM part but used. It was soaked, cleaned and dried…it does need lubed.
