Working on my 66 Coronet and have a few issues I'm chasing down. First is the PO installed front disk and the calipers are rear mounted which doesn't bother me but I also have an issue with not being able to get positive caster during the alignment even with the moog offset bushings. I can't find any PN on the spindles to determine LH or RH so is there a difference and would it change the geometry? Also how can I tell if the lower ball joint is L/R correct?
Thanks,
Wayne

No difference to change the geometry of the alignment.

If you have a sway bar on the car they need to be rear mounted or else the calipers will interfere with the sway bar.

If no sway bar you can front mount the calipers. Which would be better for brake hose routing etc…

Lower ball joints can Only be left or right as you could not mount it on the wrong side, well I guess you could but you’d soon find out when trying to bolt the spindle to it and trying to hook up steering linkage….

Pictures would help in giving answers. Aftermarket disc setup? If memory serves me correctly. I think the lower ball joint will only go on one way. ruffcut

Guess you will have to figure it out a tad.

I do have a sway bar so the rear mounts are good. Thanks for the replies. I guess to get anything better then the 1/2-3/4 positive caster I will need to go with the adjustable upper control arms.

Spindles are interchangeable side to side with no change in geometry. Lower control arm bushings could be worn out.
