I'm getting ready to do my annual spring tune-up on my 70 RR 440 +6. I just had my carbs professionally rebuilt. The rebuilder set them to 69 carb specs. He said they will run a little "hotter". My question is, should i try a hotter range plug, std plug or colder range plug. I also use a mix of 110 octane & 93 crap gas to keep pinging down. Without the better octane, i always had some pinging. Any suggestions & help is appreciated.

Also a few days ago i left the key on "run" for about 3 hours without the car running. I have electronic ignition. Should i check for any damage anywhere in the system??

My Spring tune up for Vegas and Los Angeles included pulling an NGK for inspection. Looked good after 8000 miles so I put it back in. Most important, snugging anything you can get a wrench on. Valve covers, oil pan. Go underneath. Sorry I didn't answer your question. 69. 9.5:1. No ping on California 91 **** gas. I thought that the "key-on thing only applied to the old points days.

Any help on the plugs???
