Steering pump adjustment bolt

I have a steering pump adjustment bolt seized, the bottom bolt. I put penetrating oil on it used a large drive socket and a bar. Can't move it. Tried using heat along the side. Anyone have ideas. Need to take the belts off to change the water pump...it's very tight. Started to round a head on the bolt it's that tight and had the socket on fully. It's a 69 Plymouth GTX 440 .

I always tighten stubborn bolts like that. I have gotten many to move like that. Just a little then back and forth. You should have a little bit of room to tighten and then reverse.. Give it a shot. Just go easy so you don't strip it or snap it off.

Use a 6-point socket instead of a 12-point. Less chance of rounding the bolt head. Soak the bolt head and the nut good with a penetrating oil, then do it again a few hours later, let it sit overnight, then try to go back and forth on the bolt.

Thanks I will try that. I soaked it in penetrating oil. I put two wrenches on . I'll try that.

the good thing about this tool is, you can bend the end so if you have a tight spot it will fit on the bolt head or nut as needed
