So I have the parts I need to go from manual to power steering. This is on a ‘64 Sport Fury. How much of a pain is it to swap the shaft inside the steering column? Doesn’t look like there’s much to it but thought I’d ask about surprises before I got into it.

I swapped column shafts on my 66 Charger, pretty easy job, you will want to have a new lower column seal on hand and gasket that seals column assembly to floor.

Did it this weekend. Piece of cake. Note that the car is in very good shape and those seals were too.
