Im looking at putting one of the 3 spoke "wood" rim wheels in a coronet, does any one know what the dish on the factory wood rim wheel was? Thanks for any help.

I'm guessing he either means the diameter of the mounting plate or the horn button?

Dish = offset distance from the hub to the wood grain part.

That's a nice wheel!! (Drooling).

The pic of the two I posted, the top wheel is a early take off wheel with little wear. That wheel is pretty dark.

they do age and darken especially in light , and will even turn grey

I personally have one that was in a trunk of a my brothers car since 1975 , it still has some graining onit and is much lighted then the one that i get from the restorers . I think they make them darker to hide the cracks they are filling or to make them look more like the ebody darker wood wheels ??

I'm not saying they were blonde light , just no where as dark as the restored ones are coming out .

What year is the NOS? I see yours is a 70. My understanding is that 68 and 69 is darker than 70.

here's a close up of my org unrestord wheel. Mine seems to match the color of the woodgrain that would be found on woodgrain dash panels and the consol for 68 69's

You never know chryser was alway cheap and have many different suppliers on parts , maybe they had two different types ? Your looks like the way the restorers do them , while i have never seen that type on any low miles cars ?
