Does anyone know if a stock drive shaft from a 69 Charger auto trans car would fit a 69 superbee with a 4sp trans ? I know this sound like a dumb question but I am in process of building the car and have a opertinitueity to get the part from a friend for free.

If the Charger has a 727 auto and the same rear axle as the Super Bee, and the Bee has a B or E body four speed, then the length will be the same. The u joints might be different, but a conversion joint will take care of that.

Yes both have the same rear .
Super bee is getting a 18 spline
Yes charger was 383 car with 727 .
Thanks for the info!

383 car may have small 7260 joints. While I only have a 23 spline trans I made a driveshaft to get the car moving that had 7260 I joints in it and now the yoke ears are loose on the caps at both ends of the driveshaft after 10k miles.
Unless you are never going to do any "spirited" driving. Small U joints against a BB 4 speed is borrowed time.

Keep in mind that driveshaft is over 50 years old and designed for a 335 hp. 383. I wouldn't want to put a lot of torque in front of it, as noted above.

I am slowly switching everything I own to 1350 U joints. Plentiful, cheap and I can switch rear end center sections with no driveshaft swap.

Yes I know it will be a temporary one.
Just hard to stay in this hobby if you are a working stiff .I can't buy everything new at once. Lol
