just bought a 63 sport fury, title and vin match, brought it home, looked over the body for the radiator numbers and the package tray numbers, found the numbers and they are 3104180352,looked the numbers up on the only decoders I could find online and they come back to a 1960 savoy,no way,its a 1963 fury, the radiator support wher the front numbers are is factory as is the package tray,no welds etc,any idead what could be going on???

3 is year, 1 is assembly plant,0418 is scheduled production date, 0352 is shipping order number. The last two sets of numbers should appear on the data plate, and build sheet

the way I read the decoders 0 is the year, where are you getting this info from,i heard that the first 4 numbers are the vehicle info, year body model plant number is the 4,not sure thogh

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the stamped numbers on the rad support, package tray and the trunk support all use the shipping order number. The only place the VIN number is located is on the VIN plate spot welded in the driver's door jamb. The VIN decoders won't work on shipping order based numbers.

I have been away for a while, but yes it is the S.O. number on the body. Not related to V.I.N. at all. 1969 was the first year for partial V.I.N. on body.
