What are you guys doing for OEM style street hemi mufflers. Yearone wants over $300 apiece!

Used Dons on my 71 and they fit and sounded great. Price has really cranked up on mufflers though...

Have you used them? I seen them earlier today but didn't know anything about them.
Yes, if you like original car sound they are great. If you want something louder, you need to look at Flowmaster.

Accurate Exhaust - both stock Hemi and high performance options. But not cheap.

I thought the Hemi mufflers were 2 1/2 inlet and not 2 1/4
like the above ad states?

Is my elderly mind mistaken again.

I didn't see the length of the case listed on the Don's mufflers?

A nice upgrade would be a 2.5 inlet and the 2.25 outlet for factory tailpipes. But that is what the aftermarket is for I suppose.

chrysler advertised 2 1/2" exhaust for 440 and hemi and the H pipe is 2 1/2", but the end of the pipe is swaged down to 2 1/4". i have the original H pipe off my r/t and it has flattened spots plus the swage down. not a true effective 2 1/2" pipe.

i've looked at a whole accurate system and wouldn't mind having one, but $2000 just isn't going to happen. i have 2 1/2" tti pipes and i'll just live with them.

Are your 2 1/2" pipes ID or OD?

I believe Accurate has muffler options for going to 2-1/2 inlets anyway. They only offer 2-1/2” tailpipes as an option for 68 and later but I don’t see any muffler options with an outlet over 2-1/4”. Yes, they are expensive and so is shipping.

The size and shape are an exact replacement.

Stock Mopar high performance exhaust systems were 2 1/4" in and out.
In 1966 Hemi mufflers were unique to only the Hemis.
Measurements are in the 1966 parts book, which mine is 40 miles away from me. I think the original part# ended in 902. I can check tomorrow.
