Interesting, a back story, funny, odd or downright ridiculous. Let's see (or hear about) the streets you've come across in your travels.

When I was looking to buy my house ,I couldn't find it on the map . I stopped in a bar on a friday night . This is ina very small town in Wisconsin . Population a few hundred at most . I asked the guys drinking beer where the street named Milford Mill Road was located . Only after I bought a round of beers did they tell me ,it was really called Hoopers Mill Road . The "Hooper Family "
that the road was named after was so hated by the townsfolks that ,late one evening some folks left that very bar and went down to the street. Once there ,they wrapped a logging chain around the street sign pole and
hooked the other end of the chain to a tractor ! Yep ,they pulled the street sign right out of the ground .
I bought the house . I found out why the townsfolk disliked the Hooper family so much . They really were jerks .
You can send mail to either street name and I'll still get it ...
