Not to hijack your thread, but I saw these washers installed in both directions on different cars. Is there a correct way ? Or does it matter?

I have seen that also. I asked a mechanic and he said the outside washer is turned around to put pressure on the center of the bushing forcing it out. I have seen this mostly on A-bodies as they seem to have a tendency when racing using line-loc to push/pull the bushing through the K-member... Just what I was told and it makes sense..
