Superbee Sunvisor mounting arm color?

Before I sandblast my Sunvisor arms in preparation for paint, what color are they supposed to be? This is for a 69 bee; they look like a dull silver but wanted to check in and see if anyone knows. TIA

did you remove the pad to see if it was clean there,I thought they were chrome.

Yeah, I removed the pads, definitely not chrome. Looks like an argent silver of sort.

I never pulled mine apart, wasn't taking the chance, but they're the same as the mirror pedestal..

There were never painted.
They are a dull satin chrome plated.
Steering wheel spokes are same finish
