WTB Superbird rear window glass.

A friend of mine asked me if I knew anyone with a Superbird rear window glass,so I fogured I would ask if anyone has one for sale. If you do let me know. Thanks Pete.

i know its not the real thing. but i think a vega hatch glass will work. thats what thay are using for clones.

For Daytona’s. The Superbird has a unique bubble rear backlight.

The Vega glass will not fit in the Charger Daytona/Charger 500 window plug. Some people who are building Daytona clones are using the rear hatch of a Vega to make their window plugs out of. While the Vega rear glass is similar in shape,when one is put next to an original the diffenences would be obvious. Like the original Daytona/500 rear window glass,the Superbird rear window glass is Superbird only.

ok what did they use cant see them spending the money back then to make new glass for those cars , they werent built for beauty only function , you can grind down tempered glass , have seen it done , maybe some one has an idea then of what they used.

They made steel nose cones, aluminum rear spoilers, stamped steel rear window inserts and all the other little parts that made a Superbird unique, I doubt that they had a problem with ordering up a few thousand special rear windows from their glass supplier to go with it all.
